Goal:Have students understand what a healthy lifestyle consists of by using the USDA food pyramid.
Role:As a celebrity nutritionist you will be given a star who is considered to be overweight and unhealthy. Your job is to create a nutrition/fitness plan for this star and convince them that your plan will effectively help them obtain a healthy weight.
Audience:Target audience is your celebrity client.
Situation: As a whole we need to make changes in our everyday lifestyles in order to help move our country one step closer to being healthy.
Product/Presentation:Students will need to create a promotional video or commercial that is no more than 10 minutes long to try and convince their celebrity client that their nutrition/exercise plan is the right one to help keep them healthy. Students must use the USDA pyramid and do other research in order to support their diet/exercise plan.

You are a famous nutritionist for the stars! Each team will be given a famous celebrity that is in need of some lifestyle changes and your job is to create a nutrition/exercise plan using the USDA pyramid that will help make your client healthy and physically active. You and your group must then create a promotional video or commercial using iMovie, that will persuade your celebrity client that this plan is the right one for them. Your video must give your celebrity a clear idea of what types of meals they will be eating and what types of physical activity they will be taking part in. Each group must provide a script along with their iMovie. Obesity has become a major epidemic in our country and the number of people who are becoming obese is increasing rapidly every year. In order to improve the countries obesity/health problems we must reach one person at a time and your job is to begin with your celebrity.
